This is the continuation of Daniel and Brand's story in A BEAST OF VENGEANCE. In this book we take a deeper look at Daniel and Brand's lives, what Brand does for a living, his old pack, and how their mating is impacted by outside influences. This isn't just Daniel and Brand's story anymore. This sequel takes it to a whole new level.The over arching plot involves the dying out of the cat species and what is being done to help their race. Since we know Daniel is now a cat shifter, this involves him. . . Especially since his 'conversion' was successful. Of course he is keeping his species a secret yet somehow the cats know. As the story moves along we find this plot impacts many of their friends, and not for the better. The so called 'scientists' have included wolves in their experiments, thinking wolf DNA will help. But it backfires. . . and the plot thickens.
This book has a lot of plot twists that make this story intensely interesting. We get a deeper look at characters from the first book, mainly Brand and Daniel. There are two new matings (m/f and m/m) but the story is so much more. There are changes in the pack, and changes in the wolf and cat species. I did like the book and I love the two main characters. It should of stuck with Brand and Daniel and kids . With what happens in their life. Didnt connect to the other couple. I hope the next book is more about them. I would of given the book a 5 other wise
I was surprised by this book.. The 1st one took me a while to really get into but once I did loved it.. This had me sucked in from the beginning ... It was a descent plot action, sex, and parts were funny.. I gave it 4 stars because some things i think just didn't need to be there.. I can't explain it without spoiling things ....Waiting patiently for the next book 😊
Another great story of Brand and Daniel. They delve into the mystery of these cat shifters, Brand finds out that his baby's mother is a cat shifter like Daniel and is part of an organization that wants to destroy the wolves and repopulate the cat shifters. As Daniel and Brand try to deal with the situation while also dealing with blossoming romances that are occurring around them Shannon and Collin and Philip and Samuel.
